Magic Domain

I just learned recently that due to a special Florida law, Disney actually is like an autonomous county in Florida. It sets its own zoning, road planning, and policing among others. Some websites look at this arrangement as something sinister, Disney being a giant company. But then again why wouldn't Disney opt for such an arrangement? Think of all the counties and towns and cities that have their own tax laws, police forces, and zoning and building codes. They don't appear sinister to me. Think of a store for instance, when you enter it the proprietor have certain rules for it. Think of Wal-Mart, employees abide by certain rules as do consumers foremost among this is not to take merchandise without paying for them. Isn't a State just like that? We surrender some of our personal rights to benefit from say returns to scale in some public good or service. Citizens of countries, cities, and counties do have an option if they don't want to be under such rules. They migrate, as one can choose to be in another theme park if they have an issue with its domain.
