Second opinion

So I have been self-diagnosing myself for the last few weeks thru Google...bad thing. I have seen way too many pictures of how the knee works. I was getting impatient with the physical therapy so I went to see a sports medicine/knee specialist. He tells me that it is not my meniscus...that is something one would call "runner's knee"...something to do with might left thigh muscle not able to hold the knee cap in place when i went biking...so it was sliding all over the place. He did a rudemantary strength test for both legs...my right leg was indeed stronger. Now I have to go back to PT twice a week and he says it should get better in my case.

Lame excuse

I hurt my left knee biking a month ago. It is still bothering me and has limited my activities this past month...that kills me because I am missing out on a lot of summer stuff. I saw a doctor already and a physical therapist. They think it is my meniscus. I wonder if it is a small tear or I really messed it up. Problem with the meniscus is only its outer parts are reached by blood flow so it wont heal on it's own if the tear is big enough...in that case, surgery is the only real option to get the knee working 100% again.
