Deepest fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Mt. Vernon and Back

Rode the bike again...this time all the way to Mt. Vernon...covered some 40 miles back and forth. Both knees ok. Glad to finish it this time. Last time my right knee was hurting and I could not finish so had to stop in DCA and hop on the metro there. The heat index was so high and contributed to added exhaustion.

On your left!

I was falling asleep at work so I decided to get out early and ride my bike again for 20 miles. The knees are getting used to it and the seat is not that uncomfortable anymore since I started wearing padded biking shorts.

Now I am thinking I should have bought a more expensive bike, one that has better components and parts or maybe lighter. I feel like I can go for more miles, it would be nice to have a lighter bike to do longer rides.
